Emma Stone
Emily Jean "Emma" Stone was
born on November 6 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Krista Jean Stone (nee
Yeager), a homemaker , and Jeffrey Charles "Jeff" Stone, a contractor
company founder and CEO. She has Swedish as well as British Isles roots. Stone
began her stage career in the ages of a child, as a member of the Valley Youth
Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her stage debut in the Kenneth
Grahame production "The Wind in the Willows". In her teens, Stone
appeared in many other productions until she decided to make acting her career.
Officially, she created an PowerPoint presentation, supported by Madonna's
"Hollywood", and entitled "Project Hollywood", to convince
her parents to allow her quit school and move to Los Angeles. After the
presentation was accepted she and her mother relocated to LA. She continued to
study at home, and also auditioned. Her TV debut in 2004 when she was chosen to
play the character of Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality/talent show In Search
of the Partridge Family. The show resulted in a variety of small TV roles over
the years to follow. Following a string successes acting roles, her character
Olive in Easy A (2010) was her film debut. In Phoenix, Arizona, she was a
student at Xavier College Preparatory. Although she's a redhead her natural
hair color her is blonde. It was Judd Apatow who suggested she change her hair
color to Superbad (2007) and she was so impressed that she chose to keep the
color. At the age of 15, she persuaded her parents to allow her to go to Hollywood
by presenting a PowerPoint presentation that was appropriately titled Project
Hollywood. When she was 11 years old she started acting in the Valley Youth
Theatre, Phoenix, AZ. There, she starred in 16 stage productions and performed
in the comedy Improv troupe. Caylee Cowan also performed in the Valley Youth
Theatre.
