Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey is an African American author. She is most famous as the ex-wife to the comedian Steve Harvey. She decided to keep her private life secretive and away from the media. Steve was never able to achieve the same level of success as it is today, however they were married for 14 years ago. The actual reasons for the couple's breakup weren't known, and there have been rumors of it being heard throughout Hollywood. Some blame Steve Harvey's cheating and others accuse him of choosing comedy as his field of work. Steve Harvey separated from his two daughters while she was pregnant with their third child, which caused her to be devastated. In spite of all the struggles, she has made a name for herself in fashion and writing. Her books include 'Marcia: Eyes To The Soul', "Marcia Poems From The Heart', and 'Marcia: Thoughts from My Mind'. Her kindness and generosity is now an inspiration for her children. Marcia Harvey was born to an African-American family. They were not wealthy. Her first job was in Saks Fifth Avenue, a department store. Steve met her at a party with a friend who was a couple of years later. They became lovers and were married in 1980. Steve was employed as an insurance salesman at that time and the couple was blessed with twin girls in 1982. However, at that point Steve was beginning to get disillusioned with his job and wanted to make an income in entertainment including stand-up comedy, particularly stand-up. He and Marcia did not get along and reports later suggested that they'd been living apart since 1990. Marcia Harvey's fame stemmed largely due to her marriage Steve Harvey, and their divorce. The circumstances leading to the divorce of Steve and Marcia in 1994 were largely kept under wraps but there is no doubt that Marcia was pregnant with their third child when the marriage fell apart. Marcia eventually filed for divorce in 1993. Marcia was forced to do so by Steve Harvey's refusal pay alimony or child support after her divorce.
