Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix discovered early that she was gifted to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first race, Felix was second in the 200 meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. After that, she went to an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. Felix was also the youngest to win the 200-meter race in the world championships in Helsinki in the year 2005. She won her medal once again in 2007, defeating the long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She always finished within the top three places of all events.
